Can a timber dressing table be made in another timber?
Yes. It can be built in any timber from the materials page, American Walnut, Blackbutt, Spotted Gum and Jarrah among them, or in a species sourced for you.
How long does a makeup table take?
Most catalogue designs take 8–14 weeks once the drawing is confirmed.

- Is a dressing table the same as a vanity?
- No. A vanity is bathroom joinery, usually engineered board in a two-pack finish with a stone top where the design calls for one. A dressing table or makeup table is bedroom furniture, made in solid timber.
- How do I look after a dressing table top?
- It usually leaves the workshop in two-pack polyurethane. Where bottles and brushes stand every day, wipe up spills as they happen, and keep silicone sprays and furniture polish off the finish.
- Where can I look at timber samples?
- At the showroom, 6 Coates Place, Wetherill Park, which has a sample board for each of the working timbers and for every finish. If you would rather decide at home, Goldenwood will post a small set of timber chips and finish samples.
- Can I return it if I change my mind?
- Not once production has begun: a made-to-order piece cannot be returned for a change of mind after that point. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not reduced by this.
