Every dining table is made in solid timber, most often Tasmanian Oak, whether it is round on a pedestal, extending, or topped with parquetry or stone. None is a fixed design: the length, the timber, the base and the top of any table can be changed to suit your room.
What dining tables does Goldenwood make?
Tables on legs, on trestles and on pedestals, in solid timber. Tasmanian Oak is the most common, as on the Meadowridge, the Hamptons and the Xavier. The Beaumont Round, Kanso and Elin are American Oak, and the Marina, Kinglake and Katoomba American Walnut. The Arden is Blackbutt, the Kalgoorlie Jarrah and the Strahan Tasmanian Blackwood.
The bases are where they differ most. The Yarra and the Xavier sit on X-shaped trestles and the Waverley on a V-and-W trestle. The Marina rests on faceted plinths, the Katoomba on a crossed spider base and the Braidwood on cabriole legs under a shaped apron.

Can I get a round, extending or oval dining table?
Yes, all three. The Beaumont Round, in American Oak, and the Brookfield Round Pedestal, in Tasmanian Oak, stand on a central base, as does the Lismore Round. The Leura Extension, in Tasmanian Oak, is shown closed, opening and fully extended, and the Echelon Extend opens out too.
An oval top is made to your brief: no table in the collection is oval yet, so its length and width are drawn for your room.
Can a dining table have a marble, stone or parquetry top?
Yes. The Aurelia sets a marble top on a solid Tasmanian Oak base, and the Albury a stone top on a carved Tasmanian Oak trestle with turned pedestals. For a patterned timber top, the Cessnock has chevron parquetry on square legs and the Tamworth a diamond pattern on a single turned pedestal.
How long can a dining table be, and how many does it seat?
As long as the room takes. For scale, the Marina seats ten at 3,000 mm, with two more seats for every extra 600 mm. The Gundagai is 3,000 mm long with two drawers, the Hawkesbury Banquet 4,500 mm, and the Monaro, on square corner legs, seats 18 to 20 at 5,500 mm.
How do I look after a solid timber tabletop?
Most tops leave the workshop in a two-pack polyurethane finish. If yours is oiled, you are told at handover, and a dining top in daily use wants a light re-oil sooner than the usual 12 to 18 months to stay even and water-resistant.
How long does a dining table take to make?
Most pieces ship within 8–14 weeks of design confirmation; the steps from consult to delivery are on the custom furniture page.

- Yes. Every timber on the materials page can be ordered in, and Goldenwood can source timbers beyond the catalogue.
- Do you make boardroom tables?
- Yes. The Kensington Boardroom Table is dining-table work at meeting-room scale: pedestal bases on a plinth, with cable access built into the top.
- Can chairs be made to go with the table?
- Yes. Dining chairs are made in the same workshop, from upholstered chairs to a ladder-back and a tub chair, so the table and chairs can be drawn together.
- Can I cancel if I change my mind?
- Not once production has begun: a made-to-order table cannot be returned for change of mind. Your statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law are not reduced.
