Goldenwood's sideboards and buffets are mostly Tasmanian or American Oak, with fronts in curved tambour, parquetry, slats, framed panels or flush doors, and some have a wine rack built in. On any of them, the length, the timber, the fronts and the layout inside can change to suit your wall and what you keep in it.
What sideboards are in the collection?
Tasmanian Oak is the usual timber, as on the Windsor, the Barossa and the Bendigo. The Ashford, the Parquet and the Pokolbin are American Oak, the Bordeaux Heritage is Tasmanian Blackwood and the Golden Ash Media Console is Golden Ash. The Facet Modern and the Mandurah are MDF cases with faceted doors.
Their fronts are what set them apart. The Barossa runs curved tambour fronts around rounded ends on a shadowline plinth. The Parquet has parquetry doors on tapered legs; the Windsor, framed drawers and panelled doors on a plinth. The Morpeth is faced with rows of small apothecary-style drawers, and the Elise has flush doors over a timber sled base.

Do you make a timber buffet as well as a sideboard?
Yes. The Rutherglen and the Pokolbin are American Oak buffets with a wine rack built in beside their doors, the Pokolbin with four drawers as well. The Kyneton sets slatted doors on tapered legs and the Ballarat drawers over raised-panel doors on a plinth, both in Tasmanian Oak, and the Clara Provincial is a Tasmanian Oak buffet shaped to stand in a corner.
What size can a sideboard be?
For scale, the Parquet, the Rutherglen and the Kyneton are 1,200 mm long, the Barossa and the Orla 1,800 mm, the Windsor 2,000 mm and the Pokolbin 2,500 mm, all 900 mm high.
Inside, the Windsor pairs four soft-close doors with two top drawers, the left one felt-lined for cutlery, and the Barossa has three push-to-open doors over adjustable shelves.
How long does a sideboard take to make?
Allow 8–14 weeks from design sign-off for most pieces, as set out with the rest of the process on the custom furniture page.

- Can a sideboard be made in a timber that is not shown?
- Yes. Any timber on the materials page can be ordered in, and Goldenwood sources others that are not in the catalogue.
- Is there a sideboard for a TV or media?
- The Golden Ash Media Console is a low cabinet of three drawers between two panelled doors on soft-closing hinges, set on a recessed plinth. For a unit made for the TV, see the TV units.
- Can a sideboard be built in?
- Yes. The Toorak is a built-in sideboard with flush doors and a mirror back, in a polyurethane finish.
- Is there a painted sideboard?
- Yes. The Facet Modern is a white painted MDF case with faceted doors, and the Mandurah's faceted door panels fold back into its ends.
