A Goldenwood wardrobe is made for one room. Built-in wardrobes and walk-ins are measured in your home and fitted by Goldenwood's own crew, and a freestanding wardrobe such as the Ormond is drawn to the room it will stand in.
Do you make freestanding wardrobes as well as built-in ones?
Yes. The Ormond is a freestanding wardrobe: raised-panel doors over a row of drawers, with a moulded cornice and bracket feet.
For a fitted look, the Kew is a long run of shaker doors under a flat cornice, and the Elwood puts a row of overhead cupboards above tall shaker doors. The Ballina, also installed by the crew, sets open bays above a base of doors either side of a drawer stack.

What are custom wardrobes made of?
The standard build is engineered board, finished in two-pack paint or two-pack polyurethane, and the paint colour is yours to choose.
The timber, the size, the door fronts and the layout inside are all open to change, so the wardrobe is worked out around what you keep in it.
How is a built-in wardrobe measured and fitted?
Goldenwood measures the opening in your home, draws the wardrobe to that room and shows it to you in 3D, so the layout can still move before any board is cut. Its own crew then fits it.
The quote gives the lead time for fitted work, and the wardrobe carries the same 10-year craftsmanship warranty as every commission.

- Do you make walk-in wardrobes?
- Yes. A walk-in is measured and fitted the same way as a built-in, and it can be planned with the hallway and laundry storage and the rest of the home's joinery.
- Can the wardrobe match my other furniture?
- Yes. A wardrobe can be drawn together with the kitchen, the vanities and the furniture for the same house.
- Do you fit wardrobes outside Sydney?
- Goldenwood's own crew fits across the Sydney basin. Further afield, it arranges specialist furniture transport.
- Can I change my mind once it is being made?
- Not once production has started: made-to-order work cannot be returned for a change of mind. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
